This was a Simpson's ad in the Toronto Daily Star on March 14th, 1947. Simpson's was a national department store chain which was final bought out by the Hudson's Bay Company. The photo is interesting in that the radio appears to be a brown Model 5000 with ivory knobs. (Jeremy Hopkin Collection) |
