Every vintage car radio listed here will be professionally serviced and bench-tested by Retro Radio Shop. Option 1: Original Working Order

Retro Radio Shop fully refurbishes the radio to factory-original AM performance. Technicians replace all worn or out of spec components, clean trim pots, renew capacitors, and align and bench-test to ensure reliable reception and clean audio.

This is the right choice for show vehicles, concours restorations, or owners who want the radio exactly as it left the factory. Retro Radio Shop adds no modern electronics — it remains an authentic period piece.

Option 2: Bluetooth Added

For drivers who want streaming audio without replacing the radio, we integrate a discreet Bluetooth module into the original chassis. We retain and preserve the factory AM circuit, and the system automatically selects Bluetooth audio when a device pairs.

The installation adds no visible switches or external controls. The module sends streaming audio through the original speaker outputs, while the original power, volume, and tuning controls continue to work exactly as intended.

Option 3: Retro-RAD Conversion (FM + Bluetooth)

Our flagship upgrade. Retro Radio Shop removes the original AM internals and replaces them with our proprietary Retro-RAD vintage car radio upgrade conversion system, delivering clean FM reception and Bluetooth streaming in a single, factory-appearing package.

Crucially, the original power/volume control and the original tuning control are fully retained.  

By looking at the radio — or feeling it in your hand — you cannot tell it has been upgraded. The faceplate, knobs, and dial remain authentic to the era, while the electronics inside deliver modern performance. Additionally, the conversion provides speaker outputs at 60 watts for clean, room-filling sound in any cabin.
