Whether you possess a cherished family heirloom, a remarkable garage sale acquisition, or seek a unique, vintage, antique, or collectible tube radio that has been refurbished or upgraded with Bluetooth by Retro Radio Shop, you have come to the right place.

Even if your radio is currently functional, it may contain unsafe components if it has not been upgraded. Components such as resistors can drift, capacitors can dry out, and wire insulation can crumble, all of which pose safety risks. Allow us to restore your vintage radio to a safe and functional state.

Rest assured, Retro Radio Shop carries out all antique radio repairs and electronic chassis refurbishments sytematically.  

Basic electronic refurbishment cost is $29.99 per tube in the set. The average tabletop radio has 5-7 tubes. This service includes:

• Chassis cleaned, where needed 
• Tube sockets, potentiometers, band switches etc. De-oxidized
• Dial cord pulleys and tuning capacitor lubricated
• Line cord, plug and chassis grommet replaced, as required
• Up to 10 non electrolytic capacitors, if required
• Tubes tested (Tubes extra)
• Out of spec resistors replaced, as required
• Crumbling wire insulation replaced, if needed
• The RF and IF sections aligned
• Before and after photos provided, upon request
• Bench tested after electronic "Surgery" for 2 hours
• Schematic and brief radio history provided , if available

 Often, the parts replaced, as part of the basic refurbishing, will resolve most issues. If further diagnostics or parts are required, you will be notified prior to work commencing. This would include vaccuum tubes, coils, chokes, speakers and other hardware if required. 

Start the Antique Radio Repair process in two easy steps

1) Contact Us with the make/model number of your radio and what work you would like done. We will then provide very important packing instructions and the shipping address. (Depending on the courier used and your location, the Retro Radio Shop facility to send your radio may vary).

2) Once shipped, please forward the tracking number, as soon as possible, to us. This is important as we will assign a work order number to your project, securing its place in the queue. If curious, check the current status of a radio you have sent us for repair HERE

We receive a high volume of radios and you will want to be in the system early. Turnaround time is variable; on average, though, 10-14 days from is expected.
