Occasinally a rainbow Baby Champ will turn up with a badly peeling or missing dial. In response to requests, below are links to dial scans. I have included unretouched scans of dials for each chassis type. Check carefully before using one of them. Not all dials are interchangeable with all chassis types. The scans are 300 ppi resolution. Alternatively, for collectors who feel a little more creative, I have also made available vector illustrations of each dial type which can be used to print paper or decal dials in any color you choose. These are in Windows Metafile (WMF) format, which can be opened Adobe Illustrator,CorelDraw, Macromedia FreeHand, and other vector illustration programs.

The R8142-24 dial was used only on the Model 5000. Note the "150" numeral and the clockwise direction. Welded to the back of the dial is a bracket for mounting the dial light.

The R8142B-24 dial type was used only on the Model 5000-1. Note the "140" numeral and counterclockwise direction. All the Model 5000-1 examples I have encountered have a Model 5000 label on the back. The clue to identification is the very large tuning assembly which also has a bracket for the dial light.. As a result, this dial lacks a bracket for mounting the dial light. |

The R8145-24 dial type was used on the Model B4000, B4100, and later on Model 5104's possessing an unpainted brown cabinet. The Model 5104's using this dial have an extra mounting on the chassis in order to raise the tuning assemply to fit the hole in the dial. Other Model 5104's do not possess this bracket. Note The "160" numeral and clockwise direction. Welded to the back of the dial is a bracket for mounting the dial light.

The R8143-24 dial type appears to have been used exclusively in Model 5002 which was sold only in Canada. It possessed the bracket for mounting the dial light. |

The R8143-32 dial appears to have been intended for use in BC/SW models manufactured for other companies for sale outside Canada. As a result, it appears on the Westrex Model 5002-4 and Aeroquipment Model 5002-2. However, some have also been found in Model 5002's sold in Canada by Northern Electric. |
The Airotone dial type appears exlusively on the Model 5002-2 sold by Airotone. It does not appear to have a part number. |

The R8258-24 dial type was found on the Model B4104 and later on Model 5104's possessing a painted color cabinet. The dial light bracket was formed by bending the top right corner of the dial back until it was oriented perpendicular to the main part of the dial. Note the two markings under the numeral "150". |
The R16127-24 dial type appeared on the Model 5110 and Model 5110M. Unlike the earlier dial types, the dial light bracket was formed by bending the top right corner of the dial back until it was oriented perpendicular to the main part of the dial. Note the single marking under the numeral "150".
